Reception: connections, tuners and scanning

Start with the cable and the distribution system. Knowing what the socket supplies is the basis for configuring the tuner and the scan. Installing a channel list does not configure the reception path.

  1. Check the wiring drawings.
  2. Configure the connection: single satellite feed, cable TV or DVB-T2 aerial.
  3. For shared systems, establish the Unicable allocation or DiSEqC satellite mapping first.
  4. Choose a scan method and check reception.
  5. Understand recording and watching with one tuner before configuring additional tuners.

Start at Menu → Setup → Tuners, Scanning & Reception. “Tuner Configuration” configures the connections; “Tuner Settings” contains general tuner selection and operating rules. Plugins extend this menu depending on installation and hardware.

FBC: eight reception paths DVB-S FBC and DVB-C FBC

The handbook covers shared Enigma2 functions. Visible entries depend on the frontend, driver, setup level and plugin version. The test installation verifies a conventional Astra connection. Other topologies are explained connection examples; sources and verification distinguish these explicitly.
