Umbra – Layout and readability

Umbra layout and text settings
New native FHD capture with English Enigma2. Umbra labels remain German in this plugin version; example values were not saved. Open original image ↗

Open Layout. These settings modify existing Umbra elements. They are not a screen editor for moving every widget freely.

Calculated examples of gradients, selection rounding and text size. These illustrate settings, not additional screen modes. The original German labels are translated below.

The illustration compares, from top to bottom: standard gradient with 8-pixel rounding; solid fill in the same palette; square selection; and 105% text. It illustrates the effect of settings, not four extra screen modes.

Option Choices and effect
Gradients (Farbverlaeufe) On / Solid. On uses colour gradients. Solid makes the relevant surfaces flat; transparent edge transitions remain.
Selection rounding Square / 4 px / 8 px. Changes supported selection corners, not every dialog or image globally.
Text size 90 / 95 / 100 / 105%. Scales Regular/Bold text, including supported list templates. Symbols and the radio LCD font remain independent.
Menu width Standard / Wide. Widens the normal menu, not all plugin screens.
Clock in menus On / Off. Controls the clock in supported menus. The Infobar clock is independent.
Progress indicator thickness Narrow / Standard / Wide. Adjusts supported thin progress widgets; graphics generated inside a plugin may not follow it.

Larger text does not automatically create taller list rows. Check long channel and plugin names, help text and the last visible row after changing the font size. Higher OSD resolutions have their own density profiles, explained under resolution.
