Skinparts – add individual views
A skinpart adds or replaces selected views of a skin, such as an InfoBar or a plugin screen. It is not a complete new skin and does not automatically install the associated functionality.
Menu → Plugin Browser → MyMetrixLite → Skinpart settings

Install and enable
Section titled “Install and enable”- Install a skinpart package intended for MetrixHD and your image version through the offered feed or its author’s instructions.
- Open Skinpart settings and select the entry.
- Read the description and preview. Blue Zoom enlarges an available preview.
- Choose Yes to enable it. Multi-screen packages may offer Yes, show screens, revealing individual screen selections.
- Save, then select Apply changes in the MyMetrixLite main window.
- Open the affected view and check the result.
To undo the change, disable the skinpart and apply changes again. Defaults resets the offered values; it does not uninstall the package.
Understand requirements
Section titled “Understand requirements”| Situation | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Plugin skinpart installed but the function is missing | The functional plugin must be installed separately |
| No preview | A package may ship without a preview image; check its description |
| Skinpart unavailable | Its required XML file is missing or the package does not match the installation |
| Several parts change the same view | Start with only one enabled to keep the result identifiable |
| Incorrect layout at FHD/WQHD | Check that this skinpart supports the chosen resolution |
MetrixHD reads local skinparts from /usr/share/enigma2/MetrixHD/skinparts/. Shared packages can live under /usr/share/enigma2/skinparts/ and be linked by MyMetrixLite. Normal activation does not require editing these files manually.
The screenshot shows the existing entry and its preview. The example was not activated for the capture series; each additional skinpart needs its own functional check.
