Umbra – a compact skin for OpenATV from 8.0

Umbra is a new, particularly compact skin for OpenATV from 8.0, with HD, FHD and WQHD layouts. Style packs and individual adjustments control colours, menus, the Infobar and channel lists. This handbook is model neutral; supported OSD resolutions still depend on the receiver.

The complete subject coverage of the original German handbook is retained: 18 detailed chapters, 39 style options, five included packs and all 16 original figures. This edition adds feed installation, a complete option reference, current FHD settings captures and newer menu/Infobar functions. Every chapter is also available in German and included in the shared website search.

Reception, recording and remote-control assignments remain OpenATV functions. Weather needs a reachable service and artwork needs matching e2MDB data. A style pack does not back up those services.

Original receiver pictures retain their stated historical versions. Calculated comparisons are labelled as illustrations. Black OSD areas may be transparent during normal use. Test-installation values are examples, not universal recommendations. The supplied figures and current Umbra settings include German labels; English captions, legends and tables explain them without altering the native interface.
