All 24 audio settings
These are all 24 fields in Audio Settings at the checked source revision. Visibility and choices depend on the driver. Each receiver shows only its supported subset.
MENU → Setup → Audio → Audio Settings. Setup and context. Native names and configuration keys help locate a setting. Source defaults can differ from saved values or image presets.

Volume steps
Section titled “Volume steps”1–10 steps for a short volume press; baseline 1. No sound processing.
Key: config.volumeControl.pressStep.
Long press volume steps
Section titled “Long press volume steps”1–10 steps while holding volume; baseline 5. Larger values change level faster.
Key: config.volumeControl.longStep.
Volume/Mute display timer
Section titled “Volume/Mute display timer”1–10 seconds for volume/mute indicators, baseline 3. Does not change actual muting.
Key: config.volumeControl.hideTimer.
PCM Multichannel
Section titled “PCM Multichannel”Yes/No. Allows decoded multichannel PCM on supported driver/HDMI paths. Other downmix settings can affect availability; PCM is not necessarily stereo.
Key: config.av.pcm_multichannel.
AC3 downmix
Section titled “AC3 downmix”Yes normally mixes Dolby Digital to stereo; No forwards AC3 on a supported path. Check the AVR decoder/connection first. Source baseline: Yes.
Key: config.av.downmix_ac3.
Passthrough audio handling delay AC3
Section titled “Passthrough audio handling delay AC3”Platform-specific AC3 switching wait, baseline 100 ms. Adjust for relevant zap-related audio problems, not general lip sync.
Key: config.av.passthrough_fix_short.
Passthrough audio handling delay AC3+
Section titled “Passthrough audio handling delay AC3+”Longer wait for AC3+/Atmos format changes, baseline 1200 ms. A larger value can delay audio onset.
Key: config.av.passthrough_fix_long.
AC3 plus transcoding
Section titled “AC3 plus transcoding”Platform choices can include HDMI-controlled/best, passthrough, downmix, AC3, multichannel PCM, DTS or forced AC3+. Use only offered supported paths. AC3 conversion does not generally preserve Atmos.
Key: config.av.transcodeac3plus.
Where available: best/HDMI-controlled, passthrough or downmix. AC4 is not synonymous with Atmos; source, decoder and destination must match.
Key: config.av.ac4.
DTS downmix
Section titled “DTS downmix”Yes for DTS stereo decoding, No for supported DTS passthrough. Treat DTS-HD variants separately.
Key: config.av.downmix_dts.
DTS/DTS-HD HR/DTS-HD MA/DTS:X
Section titled “DTS/DTS-HD HR/DTS-HD MA/DTS:X”Depending on platform: downmix, DTS conversion, multichannel PCM, passthrough or HDMI-controlled selection. DTS conversion is not lossless DTS-HD output.
Key: config.av.dtshd.
Dolby TrueHD
Section titled “Dolby TrueHD”Where offered: downmix, passthrough or best HDMI output. Lossless source audio and Atmos extensions require a suitable complete playback path.
Key: config.av.truehd.
WMA Pro
Section titled “WMA Pro”Driver-dependent downmix, passthrough, multichannel PCM or best HDMI output. The selector does not itself provide a universal WMA Pro decoder.
Key: config.av.wmapro.
AAC downmix
Section titled “AAC downmix”Depending on platform: Yes/No or choices including downmix, passthrough, multichannel PCM, HDMI-controlled and AC3/DTS conversion. TV/AVR support for AAC bitstream is not guaranteed.
Key: config.av.downmix_aac.
AAC plus downmix
Section titled “AAC plus downmix”Select the offered downmix/passthrough mode for AAC+/HE-AAC. It is different from Dolby Digital Plus.
Key: config.av.downmix_aacplus.
AAC transcoding
Section titled “AAC transcoding”Separate AAC encoding path with driver-defined choices, such as off, AC3 or DTS when offered. Avoid conflicting downmix rules.
Key: config.av.transcodeaac.
Audio Source
Section titled “Audio Source”Driver-internal HDMI audio source, such as PCM/S/PDIF or Bluetooth on some platforms. Not ARC and not necessarily selection of a physical output cable.
Key: config.av.audio_source.
General AC3 delay
Section titled “General AC3 delay”−1000 to +1000 ms in 5 ms steps, baseline 0. Positive values delay the corresponding Dolby/compressed audio path. Verify per-player behaviour.
Key: config.av.generalAC3delay.
General PCM delay
Section titled “General PCM delay”Same range for decoded PCM. Adjust one place at a time when several devices have delay controls.
Key: config.av.generalPCMdelay.
3D Surround
Section titled “3D Surround”Off or processing on HDMI, S/PDIF or DAC where offered. Virtual surround does not add discrete source channels.
Key: config.av.surround_3d.
3D Surround Speaker Position
Section titled “3D Surround Speaker Position”Centre, wide or extra wide: virtual speaker placement for active 3D Surround. Not physical AVR speaker calibration.
Key: config.av.surround_3d_speaker.
Audio Auto Volume Level
Section titled “Audio Auto Volume Level”Off or HDMI/S/PDIF/DAC, driver-dependent. Audio-path level processing, separate from per-service offsets. Unchanged bitstreams may be unaffected.
Key: config.av.autovolume.
Enable BT audio
Section titled “Enable BT audio”On/Off for a supported Bluetooth audio path. Pairing and hardware setup are separate; not available on every receiver.
Key: config.av.btaudio.
General BT audio delay
Section titled “General BT audio delay”Driver-dependent Bluetooth delay: −1000 to +1000 ms in 5 ms steps, baseline 0. Check actual latency with the connected device.
Key: config.av.btaudiodelay.
Other audio menus
Section titled “Other audio menus”Automatic track selection, per-service volume and lip sync complement these fields. For file/IPTV playback also check the player in use.
