Reception: connections, tuners and scanning
Start with the cable and the distribution system. Knowing what the socket supplies is the basis for configuring the tuner and the scan. Installing a channel list does not configure the reception path.
From connection to first picture
Section titled “From connection to first picture”- Check the wiring drawings.
- Configure the connection: single satellite feed, cable TV or DVB-T2 aerial.
- For shared systems, establish the Unicable allocation or DiSEqC satellite mapping first.
- Choose a scan method and check reception.
- Understand recording and watching with one tuner before configuring additional tuners.
Where are the controls?
Section titled “Where are the controls?”Start at Menu → Setup → Tuners, Scanning & Reception. “Tuner Configuration” configures the connections; “Tuner Settings” contains general tuner selection and operating rules. Plugins extend this menu depending on installation and hardware.

The handbook covers shared Enigma2 functions. Visible entries depend on the frontend, driver, setup level and plugin version. The test installation verifies a conventional Astra connection. Other topologies are explained connection examples; sources and verification distinguish these explicitly.
