Automatic scan: networks, NIT and clearing

Menu → Setup → Tuners, Scanning & Reception → Automatic Scan. This dialog searches configured reception networks. Initial frequencies come from tuner configuration and available frequency lists or supported discovery routines.

Up/down selects a row and left/right changes it. Green/Scan or OK starts scanning according to the displayed key assignments. Red/Close or EXIT leaves the form. After starting, follow the progress dialog’s labels; cancelling leaves the selected scope only partly searched.

Enigma2 may consolidate the same reception network across several tuners. Selecting the right network matters more than enabling every row. A hybrid tuner searches enabled reception types in sequence. Long scans occupy resources otherwise needed for television or recordings.

After completion, check the number and type of discovered services. Look under All, Satellites or Providers in the channel list; new services do not automatically occupy your preferred position in a personal bouquet. No results: check the signal and test one known frequency with manual scan. Compare all scan methods.
