Input devices and key repeat
Menu → Setup → Usage & GUI → Input Devices Settings lists detected input sources: remotes, front-panel keys and, depending on connections, keyboards, mice or HDMI-CEC input. A driver name such as “dreambox remote control (native)” identifies an input/driver interface; it is not a reliable identification of the receiver enclosure.
Choose the correct device
Section titled “Choose the correct device”Select the source actually used and press OK. Several entries may belong to one receiver. Front-panel keys and the remote are separate sources. Configure remote control type appears additionally when the driver supports multiple types; see type and code.
Four dynamic fields
Section titled “Four dynamic fields”The device dialog creates these fields dynamically; they are not a fully populated setup in the XML catalogue.

Example: 700 ms delay and 100 ms interval means roughly 0.7 seconds before repetition, then about ten repeats per second where supported by the driver/button. These are dialog example values, not universal recommendations.
Adjust and check
Section titled “Adjust and check”- Note the initial values and retain a usable alternative such as OpenWebif.
- Change one timing value. The native configuration can apply driver values while editing.
- Test a short press and a held press in a list. Watch for double steps and excessively fast scrolling.
- Save and answer the confirmation. Cancel or restore defaults if controls become difficult.
Key repeat, a long-press action and long-press emulation are different mechanisms. Faster repeat does not create another long-press function. Duplicate input can also occur when a universal remote sends IR while the TV forwards HDMI-CEC buttons. Check CEC controls rather than merely shortening repeat timing.
A connected device without suitable driver support may not appear at all. A keyboard layout cannot repair an undetected USB device.
