Where do I change this?

Why is a menu item missing?

Why does “settings” mean two different things?

The NAS works but plugin downloads fail
Section titled “The NAS works but plugin downloads fail”A local NAS may be reachable even without working internet access. Check the gateway and DNS. LAN and IP settings.
A share is saved but not mounted
Section titled “A share is saved but not mounted”With autofs, opening the local directory triggers mounting. Check that access first. Mount a network share.
The programme guide is empty
Section titled “The programme guide is empty”Check reception, the available programme data and any additional EPG source. Switching EPG views does not create missing data. Set up EPG.

Where are the logs and where should I report a fault?
Section titled “Where are the logs and where should I report a fault?”The default Enigma2 log directory is /home/root/logs/. The early-restore log is separate at /home/root/FastRestore.log. Enable and find logs also covers alternative destinations and downloading files. Report a problem links the relevant forum/GitHub destinations and provides a report template.

How do I set a password or restart Enigma2 from a console?

What has been checked?

This does not imply that every workflow has been tested on a running installation. Articles link to their source snapshot.
Spinner or slow startup when the NAS is off
Section titled “Spinner or slow startup when the NAS is off”A file access can wait, even with autofs. A stat() call or free-space check may access the share. autofs, fstab and NAS outages explains idle expiry, startup delays and next steps. Also check your recording and time shift destinations.
Windows 11 is missing from the share browser
Section titled “Windows 11 is missing from the share browser”Check the private network profile, targeted firewall rules, account and share permissions. Enter a known server manually when needed. Do not install SMB1 or disable the firewall. Prepare Windows 11 covers both connection directions.
IPTV picture works, but EPG is empty
Section titled “IPTV picture works, but EPG is empty”Check XMLTV ID, service reference and importer filters. Matching channel names alone do not connect the data. Missing EPG and IPTV mapping provides checks and file templates.
Missed timer or receiver does not wake
Section titled “Missed timer or receiver does not wake”Check date, time zone, actual NTP/DVB synchronisation and timer status. Cron cannot wake a shut-down receiver itself. Time and wakeup explains limitations; recording timers covers conflicts and destinations.
