Weather in MetrixHD
Menu → Plugin Browser → MyMetrixLite → Weather settings
MetrixWeather adds weather information to the InfoBar and optionally the MoviePlayer. It needs internet access and a valid location.

Set up a location and service
Section titled “Set up a location and service”- Set Enabled to Yes.
- Choose MetrixWeather service. The inspected version offers MSN, Open-Meteo and OpenWeatherMap.
- Enter your location in MetrixWeather city name.
- Press Blue for Location Selection. Wait for the search and choose the correct result; places with the same name can have different coordinates.
- For OpenWeatherMap, also enter a valid personal API key. This field is hidden for the other two providers.
- Save and check the InfoBar. If you also changed the skin layout, apply changes in the MyMetrixLite main window.
Location selection also stores geographic coordinates. Changing only the visible city name may therefore be insufficient. Use the supplied search and check its result.
Weather options
Section titled “Weather options”| Option | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Show in MoviePlayer | Also show weather during media playback |
| Temperature unit | Celsius or Fahrenheit |
| Icon style | Meteo icons, animated icons or static images |
| Icon path | Existing directory for static weather images |
| Animations speed | Speed of animated icons |
| Icon night switch | Use night images when supplied by the icon set |
| Refresh interval | Time between requests; Once loads once after a GUI/system start |
| Show forecast | Number of forecast days, 0 to 5 in the inspected version |
| Show detail | Add wind, feels-like temperature and humidity |
| Show cityname in details | Include the location name in the detailed view |
| Cache data | Display the last received data at startup while fetching updates |
Subfields depend on the selected option. An icon package supplies images; the weather service supplies data. Changing icon style does not fix a failed location request.
If data is missing
Section titled “If data is missing”Check internet access and DNS, then the service, location result and API key where applicable. Check the path for custom icons. Cached values can remain visible while new requests fail. A configured dialog alone does not confirm provider availability or fresh data.
