Recordings and timers in the browser
OpenWebif manages the same Enigma2 timers and recording files as the receiver. A browser timer is not a separate cloud recording service.
Create and check a timer
Section titled “Create and check a timer”- Open the editor through Timers → Add a timer or an EPG event.
- Set the channel, name/description, date, start/end and repetition if required. Distinguish recording from zap-only timers.
- Check recording location, margins and after-event action; available fields depend on the dialogue.
- Save and verify that the list contains an enabled timer without a reported conflict.
Existing timers can be edited, disabled or deleted. Disabling retains the entry but prevents its scheduled execution. Cleanup Timers concerns completed list entries, not automatic deletion of recording files. Refresh/Reload reads current state; it does not save unsaved editor changes.
The receiver executes saved timers after the browser is closed. Waking from deep standby depends on the timer, correct time, hardware and power state. A receiver without power cannot record. NAS storage and tuners must be available when recording starts. See recording timers/conflicts and time/wakeup.
Recordings
Section titled “Recordings”Under Movies, choose an existing recording directory or bookmark. The sample recording is in /media/hdd/movie; directory and mount names may differ.
| Action | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Information | View title, description, duration and size where metadata exists |
| Play on receiver | Starts playback on the attached TV |
| Stream/player | Opens client playback or a playlist |
| Download | Copies the offered file to the PC/phone; sidecar files are not necessarily downloaded with the TS file |
| Rename/move | Changes real receiver files; the destination must be reachable and writable |
| Delete | Removes the recording through the offered flow. Do not assume EMC or MovieSelection trash rules apply identically here. |
An empty folder does not necessarily mean there are no recordings: check path, mount, filters and parental control. An unavailable NAS can leave the list waiting. For complete transfers including metadata, use SFTP if needed. Compare MovieSelection and EMC.
Screenshots show existing files and an empty timer list. The tour created no recording timers and deleted or moved no files.
