Hidden menu options and OSD
Press MENU again while the main menu is open. This easily missed shortcut opens OSD Settings, where you can customise menus and find many Infobar options. OSD means On-Screen Display: the overlays and controls shown on the TV picture.
MENU depends on the current screen

The second press does not open the same dialog in every plugin. It is the additional action provided by regular OpenATV menus.
Open OSD Settings and apply a change
Section titled “Open OSD Settings and apply a change”- Press MENU while watching TV.
- Once the main menu is open, press MENU again.
- Select an option in OSD Settings and change it with ←/→.
- Read the help for the selected row and choose Save.
- Reopen the main menu to see its new appearance. Follow any GUI restart prompt for options that require it.
Alternative path: Menu → Setup → Usage & GUI → OSD Settings.
See all values together: Highlight an option such as 2nd InfoBar. If the dialog offers MENU, press it to open the available choices as a list. This can be easier than pressing Left/Right repeatedly. Choose a value with OK, then use Save to apply the settings dialog.
Vertical or horizontal menus
Section titled “Vertical or horizontal menus”OSD Settings → Menu style controls the arrangement:

This changes menu arrangement. Channel list styles and the vertical EPG have their own settings.
Text, numbers and images
Section titled “Text, numbers and images”OSD Settings → Menu entry style provides four combinations:

The skin’s menu template determines which images appear and where. Enabling images does not download missing artwork. Menu numbers belong to the current menu; they are not channel numbers.
Sort, move and hide entries
Section titled “Sort, move and hide entries”Menu entry sort order offers Alphabetical, Default and User defined. Default uses the order specified by the menu. User defined allows your own order and hidden entries.
- Select User defined sorting in OSD Settings, save and reopen the menu you want to edit.
- Press BLUE at Edit Mode On.
- Select an entry. Press GREEN at Move Mode On, move it with the navigation buttons, then press GREEN again to finish moving it.
- Press YELLOW to hide or show the selected entry. Its label changes to reflect the action available.
- Press BLUE at Edit Mode Off. The menu applies the edited order when leaving edit mode.
Hiding an entry does not remove its plugin or function. To bring an entry back, open edit mode again; hidden entries become accessible there. Changes apply to the menu being edited. The Plugin Browser and Extension Menu have separate sorting options.
Other menu and setup options

Help and visual feedback

Configure the screen saver
Section titled “Configure the screen saver”Show screen saver sets the delay or disables it. An active delay reveals Screen saver mode (screenSaverMode: blank screen, logo or picon) and Screen saver movement (time before changing position). The native timer is used particularly for pause and suitable radio/audio playback. It is not a general timer that blanks any live TV picture after five minutes without a button press. PiP can prevent activation.
A subsequent button action leaves the saver. Picon mode needs a matching channel logo. The saver switches off neither receiver nor TV and does not replace a sleep timer.
Messages, radio and other OSD functions

The spinner indicates a busy interface. Hiding it cannot fix, for example, an unavailable NAS mount. See autofs and NAS outages.
The three PiP options have an additional guide. All 60 OSD reference entries stay in their existing location. The Usage & GUI overview connects them to the other submenus.
Receiver views
Section titled “Receiver views”
