Picture in picture (PiP) and OSD options
PiP – Picture in Picture displays a second small TV picture. It requires compatible decoder/driver support and an available reception path. Two tuners alone do not guarantee PiP for every video format. A single-tuner receiver is also limited to services available on its current transponder/multiplex; see recording and simultaneous viewing.
Controls
Section titled “Controls”Open an available PiP function through the Extensions Menu or a custom hotkey. Depending on the offered actions, swap main/PiP pictures, move zapping focus to PiP, or edit position and size. The active mode determines which picture changes channel. HELP shows the current controls.
If the function is absent, this configuration does not offer that entry. The shared guide does not artificially enable hardware capabilities.
Three OSD settings
Section titled “Three OSD settings”Under Usage & GUI → OSD Settings → Picture In Picture, hardware permitting:

| Behaviour of 0 key in PiP mode | Keep standard behaviour, swap main and PiP, move PiP to the main picture and stop PiP, or stop PiP. |
| Close PiP on exit | Do not close through EXIT, close with confirmation, or close directly without a popup. |
| Remember last service in PiP | Disable remembering, remember without timeout, or retain the choice for an offered duration. “No timeout” differs from disabled. |
These fields are in the existing OSD reference. Front-LCD PiP has separate Display settings where supported. A skin/channel-list TV preview is another display option.
Black second picture
Section titled “Black second picture”Check tuner use by recordings/streams, reception paths, encryption and decoder format. UHD or particular codecs may work on the main decoder while the second decoder cannot play them. Closing PiP frees its resources; it does not stop a separate recording. This section explains PiP without claiming functional tests on every hardware combination.
