MovieSelection – the built-in recording list
MovieSelection is part of Enigma2 and requires no additional recording-list plugin. Press PVR/VIDEO/Recordings to open it. If EMC appears, see disable EMC and return to MovieSelection. The physical button label depends on your remote.
Select a recording, change folders and open the menu
Section titled “Select a recording, change folders and open the menu”Use Up/Down to highlight an item and OK to play a recording or enter a folder. INFO displays programme details when sidecar data is available. Press the recordings button again inside this list to open the path selector. A directory bookmark is a shortcut; it does not mount a NAS or create a recording.
Press MENU while the list is open. The context menu depends on the selected item and includes settings, sorting, folder/file actions and installed movie-list extensions. Open MovieSelection settings here. Colour buttons and their long presses can be assigned: read the footer labels or use HELP.
Copy and move operations support recording sidecar files. Check the source, destination and available space before proceeding. Stop an active recording normally first. This list does not replace recording timers: changing its starting folder does not change a stored timer’s destination.
List appearance and filenames

Playback and buttons
Section titled “Playback and buttons”Action at movie end, stop service on returning, live TV in the movie list and internal audio playback control different transitions. Audio can, for example, continue while the list remains open. Reaching the end and pressing STOP do not behave identically in every configuration. List preview also has its own playback and seek actions.
Playback status icons and indicators for new/unseen recordings help navigation. Resuming requires a stored position; file formats do not all supply the same metadata. A list setting cannot make an unsupported format playable.
The lower settings include short/long Red, Green, Yellow and Blue, plus Radio, TV, Text and F1–F3. Choose from the available actions. These assignments apply inside MovieSelection, separately from global hotkeys and EMC buttons.
Trash and reclaiming space

| Clean network trash | Includes appropriate network storage and can cause NAS access. |
| Background deletion devices and speed | Controls where files are removed in the background and the load this creates. It does not provide another trash layer. |
In the checked version the folder is called .Trash on the appropriate storage. Open it in the list and move an accidentally deleted recording back while it still exists. Empty trash permanently removes its contents. EMC may instead use its own trashcan directory; changing either trash configuration does not change the other.
