e2MDB – Media paths

Open Green/Paths in the scanner. Yellow/Add adds a directory; Blue/Remove removes the configured path entry. Removing that entry does not delete its media files. Press Green/Save after editing.
Choose a content mode
Section titled “Choose a content mode”| Mode | Suitable content |
|---|---|
| Movie | A film folder. Title and release year are particularly useful. |
| Series | Series with season and episode information. |
| Movie/Series | Mixed folders such as the normal recording directory. The parser must infer the type. |
| Anime Series / Anime Movie | Separate anime series or films with suitable providers enabled. |
| Manga Series / Manga Movie | Special type hints offered by this plugin version. They do not promise a comic reader or support for arbitrary archive formats. |
| Exclude | Directories that should not be scanned. |
Recursive = Yes includes subfolders. This is usually useful for a series root. Avoid overlapping roots and duplicate paths. Use precise content modes instead of treating every folder as mixed content.
The scan uses the currently selected paths in the scanner. A saved path and its current selection are different things. Test exclusions with a small folder structure before starting a large recursive library scan.
Local recordings might be under /media/hdd/movie/, with films and series on separate NAS folders. These are examples; use your actual mount paths. Check that the share is available before scanning. Ignored folder name patterns affect title parsing and are not the same as the Exclude path mode.
